STATUES BOON OR BANE

The erection of statues is a very old practice. The followers of great people carve their statues and erect on the public places .The motive behind this is to boost the image and highlight their character. In our country thousands of great people and reformers took birth in India, produced lakhs of devotees and disciples .Out of honor and respect the devotees erect the statues on roads and fields .The followers offer floral tributes and revere the statues of those great people Most of the statues belong to the political leaders .The trouble started when opponents started desecrating the statues to show their ire .The statue of Mahatma Gandhi,Dr Ambadker,Lod Buddha, Miss Mary ,Jesus Christ were targeted .Now Miss Mayawathi is also busy in erecting her statues .God knows what will be the fate of her statues in future ,There are number of leaders opposing her in politics .They will not spare her statues .
In Islam idol worship is strictly forbidden .Carving of statue is also forbidden .No one see a single statue of Prophet Mohammad ,Or any of his Sahabi or Saint’s is seen any where in the world. No question of discretion arise .This the Quranic injunction .Even after laps of 1500 years it stands valid and useful ..Our Hindu brothers should think
the wisdom hidden in the ordains of the holy Quran
